Happy November Everybody (but Jenna)
Autumn is coming in at full force.
It should be a super busy time on the "farm". What has she been doing? We know what she hasn’t been doing. She hasn't been doing any post-summer clean-up around her shack on the hill. She hasn’t been spending time with all the old friends that got tired of her BS…there are a lot. She hasn’t been dating a new girl. And she hasn’t been writing any interesting quality essays. But really, it’s okay…she shouldn’t worry about it, because nobody really cares what she’s doing anyway. Rehome the animals and you can just carry on.
Her rotten ratings aren’t lying:

I’d bet that Wog left the only positive one.
DeleteMy life is a brokerage company that just collects what people put online and compiles it into a reputation score. It’s supposed to look “bad” so you sign up and pay to see it.
ReplyDeleteJenna puts her horrible stuff out there herself, free of charge, with photos!!
Speaking from the personal experience of leaving ratings on MyLife, anyone can do it for free. Most people have zero to very few. Jenna has over sixty negatives.
DeleteNearly puked at the picture of her greasy pan pizza. The food was bad enough but the black dirt under her fingernail was disgusting. Imagine how much bacteria she transfers to what she eats. Ironic given that she makes soap. Does she even own a nail brush? Pizza is a high caloric meal cooked in the traditional manner but frying it in oil and topping it with greasy meat is extremely unhealthy ... and not a vegetable in sight.
ReplyDeleteI also loathe the sick sight of her puke pan pizza. What a gross mess. It’s no wonder why Jenna’s almost two hundred pounds by her own admission. Her hands and filthy fingers are repulsive.
DeleteEverything she makes looks disgusting. On rare occasions, the base is vegetable (like the ocasional autumn squash), but she then smothers it in sugar and fat, until the meal looks repulsive.
DeleteAnd dirty fingernails? What else from a person who bragged about animal waste on unwashed hands?
Aren't we all surprised she hasn't come down with a serious disease, given her unsanitary habits? But then she's probably never close enough to the animals to get infected. You'd have to handle, train and clean up after them - chores she apparently never does.
Anonymous 12:56. I agree. All of her food lacks appeal. Just like Jenna.
DeleteShe’s such a stupid, one trick phony: same pics of pan pizza, crappy cupcakes/frosted donuts, dogs, burning woodstove in filthy living room, flying falcons inside with livestock, deranged, draped animal heads to show how quirky her dumpster decor is.
DeleteAnd cats climbing where they shouldn’t be for safety’s sake.
DeleteHad to also add Made in China, Taylor Swift merchandise.

Cold Antler Farm
For any dreamers struggling right now:
I’ve been self employed since 2012, the year I quit my corporate job to try being a full-time farmer and writer at home.
It’s been the hardest and most rewarding endeavor of my life. It’s never felt safe, I haven’t slept well since my twenties, and I never know if the month I’m currently living here will be my last. There hasn’t been any security the whole time, just hope it’ll get easier if I don’t give up.
People get so frustrated I don’t quit, and many readers are exhausted for me. I know because I’m told how idiotic and embarrassing I am every week. Here’s why I haven’t:
I bought my 6 acres and 1000 square ft house in 2010 with a 38k corporate graphic designer salary. I hated that life so much it was killing me. Not hyperbole.
So I quit. I cashed out my young 401k (8k as a cushion that lasted 2 months ) and I’ve never had that much money for that long on hand since. My house doesn’t have heat outside of fire in a stove. My laundry is still done in the town laundromat. I never got a passport. My car is 15 years old. I’ve been unmarried, childless, and struggling the whole time.
I am telling you it was the best choice of my life and I regret nothing.
Because of this farm I was able to build the character that stopped my bulimia- which was destroying my teeth, heart, and hope. I beat addiction to alcohol(going on 5 years sober!). I finally came out after decades of internalized homophobia.
Now at 42, the person I was trying to be 15 years ago has finally hatched. I don’t think the comfortable version of me could have done that. I know because I was her.
I genuinely thank every reader following my story. I have never achieved “success” but I have managed to live a life that feels holy and full in nature for 13 years, and I am only here because you didn’t give up either.
When I make May house payment, the Richter Scale will clock it. Thank you for being here to witness the tremors.
I’m not giving up.
You shouldn’t either.
I truly wouldn't care about her going after her dream if it didn't include animal neglect, public obfuscation & misrepresentatio and almost continual begging for financial support.
DeleteTHIS is why people tell her to get a job.
PDD
100%. I live in her area. I know people who live similarly. They do not beg online to pay their bills!!!!!!
DeleteWhat a con cunt, and lazy, lying loser. The only “tremors” that will be felt in our area is when Wog waddles around town. I’m shocked that she doesn’t stand on corners with a sign begging for mortgage money. Get a job, slob. No one wants to support your fat ass. I also don’t buy that sober story, because we live in a small town, and people talk about what they’ve seen. Plus, Jenna is still a huge pothead, and brags about smoking weed.
DeleteMerlin’s photograph from many summers ago as a lead in to this self serving and braggadocio post, is so twisted. Merlin was sacrificed to all of Jenna’s delusions of being a farmer/homesteader/writer/whatever. She took on the responsibility of caring for this magnificent beast, taking him from some other genuine horse lover, only to then proceed to neglect him for years and years. Having him put down and his carcass dragged off her “farm” in chains was the final, cruel indignity for Merlin. That she continues to use his photograph to sell her pathetic farm life story is the biggest tell about her character. She is without shame.
DeleteShe’s never had more than 8k? She is conveniently forgetting when she crowdsourced her book Birchthorn. I think she raised 15k and she was such a lazy asshole about it that even her editor turned on her!
ReplyDeleteIt was probably her plan all along to just take the money and run.
She deserves every bit of bad luck she gets.

Good morning from Cold Antler Farm. New month. Genuinely nervous about how hard it’s going to be. One day at a time, right?

Jade of All Trades
Want to learn a little bit about homesteading and running a small farm in upstate NY, a lot about a single, queer woman’s resilience, falconry and pop culture interludes?
Even if you don't think you do, Jenna Woginrich Cold Antler Farm is the real deal, and you will find joy and even probably relate! Plus, it’s pride month 🏳️🌈, so a little extra help for someone who unwaveringly shares her life and writing for the benefit of all, can go a long way.

The Goaty Thistle

I love narrated posts, and Jenna, your voice is so soothing and friendly! This was a great listen as I was working in the gardens yesterday.
Soothing voice?😂😂😂😂
The Goaty Thistle's standards must be quite low. I personally can't stand Jenna's voice or the way she speaks. I can't listen to her.
DeleteLatest lies. First she tells us she ordered an item from Amazon and in the next breath states that she has no credit card. How does that work darlin'? She really doesn't think before she opens her mouth. She also stated she bought the house without a down payment but (and correct me if I'm wrong) didn't she beg online for that? Before my time but I'm quite sure that's how it went down. Her podcasts are always a treasure trove of untruths, exaggerations and misdirection.
ReplyDeleteYou're right about her begging for down payment money for the house. I could find it, but it would take a lot of searching, and I don't feel like wasting that much time on her.
DeleteAs far as Amazon, I don't have credit cards either, but I can order with a debit card. That's probably what she meant.
Makes sense. With her poor financial history who in their right mind would issue her a credit card unless she has a secondary card on a parent's account.
DeleteFrom time to time, she's mentioned having a credit card - certainly she had one when Shannon was living with her.
DeletePeople 40 and older: what is the best advice you have about dealing with panic in regards to just feeling okay in the world? Is there a phrase or feeling or trick that grounds you?
ReplyDelete“I have a job” is the first phrase that comes to mind.
When I'm panic-y, I remember that I have financial stability. I earn a steady, albeit rather low but reliable income. This comes from a (hold your breath) JOB!
ReplyDeleteI think substack interactions are tough for Jenna because she gets very specific answers to her questions in a non confrontational manner.
ReplyDeleteShe asks a question ( that we all know is about getting free money) and it seems all the substackers responding are living off dreams and farts. They give love, light, hugs, and atta girl platitudes, but that’s not what Jenna needs.
She needs people to say “what is your venmo?” So she can say “that’s so kind of you, you don’t have to, here’s my venmo!”
Like another Shamster mentioned, she just posts about the same things over and over again. Her essays are boring, her “podcasts” are her lazy way of not writing even though she’s “trying” to be a paid writer. She isn’t producing very much writing on her substack.
It’s uncomfortable watching her circle the drain like this but I’ve been a follower for many years.
Perimenopause is probably kicking in over at cold antler farm and she’s in for a rough ride!
Today:

just now
Sales are down to almost nothing and a long row to hoe. To avoid fear of losing the farm I gotta hustle and sell, so if you don’t like seeing that, follow a farmer with direct deposit!! Right now logos are on sale, as are pet portraits! More affordable than ever, send me a message!

This is what SubStack says about advertising:
Delete"Marketing and Promotion
Substack is intended for high quality editorial content, not conventional email marketing. We don’t permit publications whose primary purpose is to advertise external products or services, drive traffic to third party sites, distribute offers and promotions, enhance search engine optimization, or similar activities."
IMHO, Wog walks a fine line.
Start reporting her. Copy and paste that paragraph into a report on one of her logo or pet art advertisements. You can choose spam, or Other. She should not be doing this.
Delete“Follow a farmer with direct deposit”
ReplyDeleteOk Jen!🤣
She is so hung up on people with direct deposit when actually, a direct deposit is a deposit of money by a payer directly into a payee's account. Isn't that what Venmo is? She is confusing direct deposit with a salary. She shows her ignorance in so many ways.
ReplyDeleteExactly!!
DeleteJenna: I can’t pay my bills! Foreclosure! I’m hustling to make sales! If you don’t like it, go follow someone with direct deposit.
ReplyDeleteAlso Jenna: here I am having a picnic on a Wednesday afternoon. Here I am swinging in a hammock on a Wednesday afternoon!
Just looked at her ‘yard time’ post and assuming the horse is standing straight, that structure she calls a barn is listing so badly it looks like a stiff breeze could blow it over. I hope she only keeps hay in there otherwise it’s going to crush whatever else happens to be inside. How can she not see what a hazard it has become?

ReplyDeleteAlso Jenna: I trade eggs for bread with my neighbor but look at me wasting money buying tube biscuits and wasting $ baking them in the oven on an 87degree day. Here’s my putrid blt!!
Christmas rush? For real?

Beat the rush and lock in something special for Christmas!
Jenna is an amazing artist!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
DeleteShe finally wrote a half decent article about her garden but she screwed it up by posting this at the end:
ReplyDelete“I’d subscribe to this gin joint even if it wasn’t me yapping. Just sayin’”
Wog could screw up a free lunch.
Trading eggs for bread. In my mind, not a good trade. Bread is what, flour, yeast and water? she could make it herself for less than what the eggs are worth. Trade the eggs for something of more value or cash so she could pay some bills. She's such a dim-wit.
ReplyDeleteShe could do without bread altogether!!
DeleteEver notice that when Wog advertises artwork or logos that it's the same tired old pieces? It pretty well confirms that nobody is interested in hiring her.
ReplyDeletewhere is everyone?
ReplyDeleteOne of the responses to Jenna’s post to resell the same share of bacon for the 50th time!

Dating tips ( gay or otherwise) are fantastic but we don’t need bacon.
Abuse. Unhealthy. Environmental degradation.
Where’s your empathy Jenna?
how much you want to bet she will re-post her diatribe about why she raises/kills/eats meat zzzzzzzzz
DeleteLooks like Wog attended a protest. Interesting that there are no pictures of her with people. It appears she really is the local pariah. What a very sad life.
ReplyDeleteNot true. Plenty of pals.
DeleteBut no pictures of her with them. Lonely in a crowd.
DeleteThere she goes again, calling her horse a Chestnut mare. No, moron. She's a Paint. She's just stupid.
ReplyDeleteWhat's new at CAF? I miss her twitter as that was the only way I could see what was happening. I guess I'll try finding her on her substack .
ReplyDeleteNothing new. Barely any photos of neglected animals, but she busily posts carefully-curated photos of garden plants, crap she's purchased and massive time wasting activities - whilst bemoaning how she needs money.
DeleteI wonder how long before SubStackers realize she's hustling them...
What does she do with her time besides loafing around the stream? She's not even fishing (cue the fishing shot). After promising 3 posts per week she barely ekes out one poorly written essay and not usually farm related. Oh wait, she doesn't really farm. She needs to change the name of her Substack to My Horse Cuts My Lawn. That's the only shot of an animal we ever see.
DeleteShe’s really busy… see!???

Currently working for the second day straight on a draft of an essay about something so personal I am worried I shouldn’t publish it. That it’s too dark, too heartbreaking, just…. too much.
So I’m going to keep working on it until it’s so much.
The predictable tease which never lives up to the hype.
