But our offers were ignored. She puts in minimal effort to maintain the blog, and can’t even be bothered to include images on any posts. Which would help to illustrate Jenna’s animal abusing, and abhorrent behavior.

    4. Anon 9:45, that's not a nice comment. HD volunteers to run this, and I'm sure most appreciate the behind-the-scenes effort it takes to keep our site safe and secure.

And, btw, the last thread still worked at 360 comments. I was pleasantly surprised, and I actually wondered how high the number could go!

  4. I think the biggest scam Jenna is running is on her parents. They are her targeted audience for the begging/wolves at the door posts. I think she receives money from them, but not on a specific schedule. I believe that her 180 degree change of tone posts where she is optimistic s directly related to mommy & daddy putting $ in her account.
I miss the Facebook days when her mom would comment on Jenna's posts. It was a hot mess. Her parents are so ashamed of her, but would rather help pay some bills than have her living in their basement.

    4. When Jenna was up & coming as a successful author, I'm sure Jenna's mom bragged to family & friends about her daughter and they all followed her on Facebook. Then imagine her mom's horror when Jenna was constantly begging and talking about getting foreclosure notices. It got even worse when Jenna was posting about troubling things like having to poop in the woods because her plumbing was messed up and she didn't have money to fix it. Her mom was saying what all of us were thinking, things like how can you live like that, you need to get a job, everyone is worried about the decisions you are making. It was one of those things where she probably shouldn't have aired that on social media, but then again I'm sure Jenna wasn't answering her calls.

    5. yeah when you have someone like Jenna as a kid, I don't think the stress ever ends. I know a mom who bought a house for her kid to live in because the guy just could not hold down a job and was so anti-social and chaotic.

Oh, did you ever see the "sexy vegan" guy on dr phil decades ago? that's what HIS mom did - bought a house for the guy to live in and he just live-streams and creates terrible adult content. As a parent the mom at least knows where he is, and that he's alive, which is kind of rock bottom for a parent.

It's funny that you mentioned parents buying homes for their adult children. Without thinking hard, I know at least six situations where this has happened. In each case, the child acts irresponsibly, and the parent has at least created a safety net (whilst building equity in a property). Maybe it's a northeast USA thing?

Horrible news. Had Friday back at the vet because of a distended belly by her scar area. The internal stitches from her last surgery, the ones that keep the body wall together and organs in place, have failed. It needs to be repaired but it may not be possible, not unless I have 5k to spend on a mesh implant. Which is impossible.

The best and only hope is when my local vet opens her up next week it is something she can repair. If she can’t, because it’s not possible without mesh or the tissue won’t heal because it’s gone cancerous, she’ll need to be put down.
So one more local surgery and go from there, but it doesn’t look good.

    10. If we take what she says at face value, this is all because she never had Friday spayed when she was young and the procedure would have been easy.

The way Jenna is explaining this is highly suspect. "internal sutures failed" - that's very rarely the case, more likely Jenna did not follow the post-op instructions, which is likely given how they opened up and became infected before. She isn't restricting friday's movement, which should have been restricted to crate rest plus leash walks for 6 weeks after a major abdominal surgery.

Instead, jenna allowed her to dig in the garden. That's probably what did it.

The other issue is you wouldn't know the sutures failed unless there were secondary issues, and mesh wouldn't be suggested unless poor Friday had a hernia.

There's no other reason to use mesh. The poop pup likely has bowel caught up in the internally opened incision area.

The mesh surgery on a senior dog is not something I'd ever do to them, it's a long recovery and Jenna couldn't handle a basic spay.

She's for sure already made the decision to have her put down, I'm calling it right now, and I agree with other shamsters she's faking raising funds for the mesh surgery to buy another purebred puppy. I bet she put money down on a pup right after Gibson died, and given those pups cost $3-5K, the surgery costing $5K seems about right.

Most breeders have a 12-24 month wait list to begin with, so when that new puppy materializes a few months after she has Friday put down, we'll know what's up.

      Delete
  15. Jenna is 100% to blame for not taking care of Friday. This all could have been easily avoided by having her spayed. Since she didn't do that, the least she could have done was f-ing take care of her post surgery. I don't give a shit if she begs for money, but I do care that she has repeatedly neglected and abused all of her animals, even the animals she claims she loves. She is an absolute shit excuse for a human. F YOU JENNA

My dog needed a $4700 surgery 2 weeks ago and although it sucks to have to pay that much out, it’s my responsibility as his pet mom to make sure he is taken care of. I paid it with savings because as an adult, stuff like this happens and you have to be as prepare as possible. 3. Jenna's neglect of Merlin was HEARTBREAKING. He was given funding to build a shelter for the horses over 10 years ago, of course she spent that money on other things with a snarky justification.

Fell ponies are notoriously more difficult keepers as they age. They need senior feed, supplements, blanketing, yes pampering, and regular gentle groundwork. They're not mustangs, they're descendants of hundreds of generations of very domesticated animals. Merlin was such a beauty and in peak health when she bought him, and that first owner was such a fool to be taken in by her enough to agree to finance Jenna's load to buy him.

    4. I dunno, her life has a false bottom thanks to her parents paying her mortgage. She should have crashed and burned back in - what was it? 2012? when she was forced to sell the sheep and she did that birch thorn book scam? - and that's when she kept pulling "miracles" out of her ass.

This train wreck keeps on wreckin' because the financial support is there, and it's probably a result of her poor mother being so distraught to see her child waste their life, but she can't let Jenna actually be homeless for whatever reason.

I remember her saying her mortgage payment was $900 way back when, and recently she's said it's over $1400 - she didn't magically start making more money, she wrote a panic post about it and then never mentioned the increase again because bank of mom stepped up again.

I'm not a big proponent of "tough love" tactics, but you do need boundaries when your kid is someone like Jenna. She'll make all her problems YOUR problems if you let her, and it would have been so much better to let Jenna fail entirely in her late 20s / early 30s and despite her bravado LET her sleep in her messed up breaking down red pickup for a few months, let her access shelter systems and LET HER sleep under that damned bridge.

She probably would have found a way to scam her way out of homelessness without involving mama woginrich.

    5. I think at this point Jenna's just going to continue on as she always has, with her leaky roof and leaky pipes (her house is probably full of black mold now), with her animal hoarding and neglect, with her doing everything except fill out a job application.

Oh and who's paying for her meds by the way??? Are there government programs to cover psych meds for people who can't afford them? Or do the parental units cover that too?

She complains about the same four expenses all the time: firewood, hay, mortgage, teeth. Yet she hasn't mentioned meds as a new monthly expense which would be significantly more than her hay bill.

By this point, everyone in our area has been subjected to (if you’re watching what’s going on via social media or word of mouth) the never ending car crash that is Jenna’s life. It would be one thing if it’s just her own self that is experiencing crisis after crisis, we have loads of people here who live hand to mouth, but it’s the fact that she insists on having animals that she’s clearly incapable of taking consistent and responsible care of that really makes me so angry. Her Substack is a joke - she veers between bragging and giving unsolicited advice and complaining about the unfairness of how hard it is to live this life no one else really cares to even know about. I keep tabs on her because I worry about those animals. I guess there’s none of them left to worry about anymore, because I don’t see hope for Friday.

  29. She's despicable - another animal suffered due to stupidity, selfishness and carelessness.

What else do you expect from a person who refused to listen to early advice that she spay her dog, an action that would have prevented the horrific infection?

Are you unsurprised that she didn't bother taking her ailing dog to a vet until symptoms were so bad that outsiders told her do to so?

Was it expected that she would refuse to take adequate post-surgery care of her dog, instead letting the dog lie on a filthy floor, in front of a dust-scattering fan, but wearing a photo-ready tee-shirt and donut ensemble?

And really, what other imbecile, no doubt chasing social media accolades, would allow her post-surgery dog to scamper outside on a farm, romping around a dirty pond and feces-covered property?

Who else would CHOOSE to live a financially irresponsible life, with insufficient funds to properly care for her animals?

As so many others have said, animals exist as pet props for attention. She doesn't care for them, and she truly doesn't deserve them.

But it showed that she’s always searching for a way to make money, without putting a lot of effort into doing it.

She’s definitely uncomfortable, confused, and in pain. Plus, you have to remember that this dog barely leaves the farm or sees other people other than Jenna. Again, I understand it can feel like an impossible decision to make the call for them to peacefully go to sleep, but this is such a clear cut case. Would also love to know where she’s getting the money for these surgeries with a mortgage increase months ago (earlier this year?) and “how it’s never been harder to get sales.” Friday, you deserve better; and I’m so sorry. She in no way shape or form explains how she afforded these three surgeries. She also has some nerve to talk about how religious she is when she has definitely posted about how a belief in a higher power is stupid. Isn’t it just ~wonderful~ how things always work out because of magic? This whole situation is such bullshit. Why would she dig a grave before the dog died? That makes no sense to me.

If she wrote a book about how to scam people it would surely be a bestseller if an editor could get past the spelling and grammatical errors.

  47. at this point Friday should be on crate rest / clean blanket inside rest with a cone on, and leash walks only for potty breaks, for at least 3 months. Hernias / fascia / the multi-layered abdominal wall needs a minimum of 6 weeks to heal in ideal conditions, and a you restart the clock and add a month with every setback.

DO NOT let her dig in the dirt, do not let her run, do not let her into the water, and for fuck's sake keep her on clean bedding. That might mean going to the thrift store and buying a bunch of old blankets / quilts / sheets so you can rotate them out between trips to the laundromat.

I'm surprised she doesn't have a washing machine when she has the hookups for it. it would not be expensive. She should put money aside in a jadeite mug.

    2. I quit drinking and every once in a while take an edible. I have many sober friends who smoked daily before giving it up. I don’t think people realize how constant she must have smoked for this to happen. How is this better than her drinking?

      Delete
    3. It’s her way of rationalizing her horrid life choices. Addiction comes in many forms and being addicted to weed is no better than being addicted to alcohol. I highly doubt she is alcohol free and I believe she still struggles with binge eating. The fact that she cannot control her unnecessary spending and unhealthy eating habits points to her addictive tendencies in all areas of her sad life. I do wonder if she will ever pull herself together and start acting like a functioning adult. It’s unbelievable to me that she never seems to learn from her mistakes and delights in reporting every catastrophe. Any normal person would keep that sort of thing to themselves and strive to do better.

      Delete
    4. Thanks for your insight, EO. It’s sad to see. A better life for her is possible but it’s a shame she doesn’t want it.

      Delete
    5. EO, it's extremely common for people with Jenna's mental health problems to struggle with multiple addictions. It's frustrating that the people who donate to her manufactured crises don't seem to realize they're fueling her addictions: shopping, animal hoarding, drinking, smoking, even social media attention is a dopamine hit. She chases dopamine because her brain desperately lacks it due to whatever underlying condition she has - maybe bipolar 2 (assuming she's never had a full on psychotic break and hospitalization which would be bipolar 1) and / or some neurodivergence like ADHD or autistic spectrum disorder. Her behaviours / addictions are all maladaptive coping to try and compensate for her chronically undersupplied dopamine / norepinephrine, which is also why living in a constant pseudo-crisis works for her.

With both bipolar and ADHD often people lack the ability to clock anything is wrong with them, or anything beyond feeling depressed or anxious, so they get treated for anxiety / depression, but it doesn't work because what they really need is behavioural supports / therapy and if it's bipolar she'd need lithium or some other mood stabilizer.

I am starting to suspect she may have a diagnosis of bipolar from her younger years, and maybe that's why her parents pay her living expenses. Lots of families with children with mental health issues will just provide the basics of housing / living so that their kid doesn't end up being a statistic living under a bridge - a fear we saw Jenna leverage against her family in her blog years ago.

Jenna's behaviour is never going to change, and while she'll go on a health kick every once in a while in a manic cycle of feeling optimistic about herself and life, she'll always always backslide on the depressive end of the cycle because she isn't getting the real medical and behavioural treatment she needs, and she doesn't believe she needs it.

      Delete
    6. Excellent insight. She has always presented to me as bipolar. There seems to be no middle ground with her. Her mood swings are extreme and frequent.

      Delete
    7. Yeah once I realized her behaviour paralleled someone I knew who was diagnosed as bipolar 1, it threw a completely different light across her history / dramas. When someone is honestly struggling with BPD I have a lot of empathy with them, but Jenna is only asking for specific monetary help - oh and attention via affirmations and shares on socials - she acts offended by people who offer real help outside of what she thinks she needs.

Some sad day whoever is paying her living expenses will pass away, and maybe at that time Jenna will be left with a paid off property and precious little else. At that point it'll be just a matter of time before she's forced out by property taxes, or the place being condemned due to poor maintenance.

The best possible outcome for Jenna would be if she herself dies on the property before she can live long enough to lose it. My guess is she'll quietly sink into one of her addictions and it'll kill her. Alcoholism? Stroke. Smoking? Cancer (that'll be a bad one for her winding down on social media extracting all the likes from all the people.) Being impaired could easily lead to a simple fall when she's alone. It's sad and surprising how many people die alone caught between their toilet and a wall or shower.

I wrote a little unfan fiction where her hoarding got so bad a pile collapsed and killed her like the house landing on the wicked witch in wizard of oz. That's a real possibility if she lets her hoarding get out of control.

Ideally she won't be driving impaired and god forbid she hurt someone else on her way out. She's never confessed to driving impaired, but when a person's addictive behaviour gets past a certain point the denial kicks in and people start to believe they can get away with driving drunk or not sleeping for days.

Jenna's alone, no one checking in on her regularly, she could twist her ankle in the yard at night and die of hypothermia if her phone was out of reach.

Despite rarely leaving the property, she lives a fairly high-risk lifestyle. I wonder if she'll even make it to retirement age.

My shift in theories regarding Jenna's dysfunction makes following her antics further a macabre hobby... but I have a dark sense of humour. Blame it on a career in health care.
