The whole thing is so stupid I don't have the capacity to even try to think about it. The main question is Who Cares? Is there someone in the world that will subscribe so she can bake a cake? As I drove to our local feed store, I contemplated what deep down desire-to-fail must exist in PS that keeps her a perpetual victim.
ReplyDeleteAssuming her overall finances are truly shakey (and that she's not simply lying to goose donations), how can a single, college-educated woman, without children and with affordable housing, be so lousy at managing her life's finances? At some point, even her best friends must get tired of non-stop whining, hand-holding and never-ending bailouts.
In 13 years, she appears to have learned little. Her property is worse for her having lived there; major repairs probably lurk and instead of fixing & repairing, when she has free time she screws off! Unless you're 13, summer isn’t only a time to lie in the hammock, nibble ice cream, and play in the river. It's the time to get ahead & organise repairs that take you into fall and prep for winter. Yet, she refuses to 'adult'.
Self-sabotage is her misplaced insistence on working slowly, stupidly and ineffectively, under the guise of stubbornness.
Legitimate farmers look for ways to become more efficient. She seems to ALWAYS take the more cumbersome path. Selling your services by insisting people "DM you" is wildly inefficient. Focusing on selling original sketches instead of selling prints of popular drawings wastes time. Keeping animals that have no farm value isn’t smart. Selling meat animals without a clear understanding of their cost guarantees failure. And on and on...

It's well recorded in the lesbian communities that this phenomenon occurs, including people going on to marry a man (or multiple) and have children before realizing what it means.

But with this issue along with every other issue in her life….she is so inauthentic I can't believe anything. Because of that, I've never really believed she was gay. Do I care? Nope not one iota. I think she has never fit in with anybody. She has tried to find "her people" but it has never worked for her. Think of the groups that she has tried to be in…and none of them have worked. 3 or 4 different religious/spiritual groups, archery, herding dogs, fiddlers, falconer, dog trainer, homesteaders, working horses, vegetarian, ex-vegetarian, runner, hiker, bar rat, board gamer, online gamer, livestock keeper, shepherdess, farmer, T. Swift super fan, straight girl, gay girl, etc, etc.
I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting. These things aren’t just hobbies or interests….these are identities that she has adopted. I think trying to find somewhere to fit in…but it doesn't work. It has never worked.

Anon7, I live in a farm community - more so, than her quaisi-farming weekender destination. In our area, there isn't a single farmer, including those with 100+ acres in production, who don't work outside jobs, if not full time, then part of the year or part-time.
DeleteThey do it to keep up and get ahead, collecting cash to expand and improve their properties. They have time to hunt, fish, socialize, give to the community and hang with friends. What they don't do is obsessively watch TV, read emails and social media. Oh, and I doubt any of them are "done by 4 pm" or taking naps in the hammock!
In fact, during summer, it doesn't get dark until 9-10 pm, and that's plenty of time to do chores on the property.

According to her own words today, she was expecting to receive $20 per day. That extra $140 a week or $560/ month would be great money for her to rehash the memoir that was rejected.
It’s weird that she thinks people would pay more for her “juicy” posts too. Her “juicy” is kind of dry ( gay or straight!!)
She isn’t keeping up with trends, if she’s such a writer and farmer, she should be creating digital content, providing products that someone can buy in the moment ( like we said earlier- tshirts, mugs, stickers ( she is an authority on lesbian culture so I bet she could design some great LGBTQA stickers!)) and don’t have to go back and forth in a DM for a week. Jenna talks about sales missed because there is just too damn much work to purchase anything from her!!!
Her asinine announcement was overly dramatic and unneeded. No one even cared about her blogging before. Jenna’s writing is rotten, and she only offers boring non-tent now.
